How do you wash and dry a fleece sleeping bag?
Fortunately, washing a fleece sleeping bag is not difficult.
Before your fleece sleeping bag is washed, it is wise to always check the care label first. In addition, we have listed some useful tips for you:
- Wash your fleece sleeping bag at a maximum of 40°C or 105°F. Fleece does not tolerate heat well. When fleece comes into contact with high temperatures, the plaid can shrink.
- Do not use fabric softener. The use of fabric softener ensures that your plaid insulates less well and therefore retains less heat.
- Do not put your fleece sleeping bag in the dryer. After the first tip, this one probably comes as no surprise. Fleece cannot withstand high temperatures. When you put it in the dryer, the plaid will shrink. Fortunately, fleece is a quick-drying fabric, so your sleeping bag will be dry in no time when it is hanging on the clothesline.
- Do not use an iron. Fleece is not suitable for ironing. Due to the high temperature, the synthetic fibers contract and your sleeping bag sticks to the iron. When your sleeping bag is neatly hung up to dry, it is often not necessary to iron your sleeping bag.
